NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - The Peep-O-Rama sign that once highlighted the entrance to pornographic peep shows on 42nd Street is back on display on Broadway as a tourist attraction.
But now leading people to a G-rated video display on the history of Times Square and it has New Yorkers talking about Times Square then and now.
“You see a higher rate of tourism and it’s looking like a good thing,” one man told WCBS 880 reporter Mike Xirinachs. ”It’s a cleaner Times Square now.”
Most will tell you cleaner is better. Some, however, reflect fondly over the old, seedier days.
Peep-O-Rama is back in business (sort of) at the Times Square Visitor’s Center at 1560 Broadway (between 46th and 47th Streets).
