Sweeny Says: Padres' GM On Gonzo Deal

The Red Sox and Padres officially completed their trade that sent 3-time All-Star slugger Adrian Gonzalez to Boston for P Casey Kelly, 1B Anthony Rizzo, OF Reymond Fuentes, and a player to be named later.
The Padres feel they got the best package they could for a player they wouldn't be able to afford to re-sign after this year. Baseball America ranked the 21-year old Kelly as the best prospect in the Red Sox organization. Rizzo was ranked 3rd in the Boston chain, while Fuentes was ranked 6th.
