FDNY Puts Out Staten Island Brush Fire
NEW YORK (AP/CBS 2) -- The Fire Department said a brush fire in a wooded area of Staten Island has been brought under control.
A spokesman said pockets of brush fires in the Richmond Valley section were extinguished at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday.
About 60 firefighters responded to the scene near Amboy Road after getting a call at 5:52 a.m. Fire officials said there were no reports of injuries.
