Mets, Bonser Agree To Minor League Deal

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Right-hander Boof Bonser has agreed to a minor league contract with the New York Mets.

The 29-year-old went 1-0 with a 6.12 ERA in 15 relief appearances with Oakland and Boston last season. He also went 2-3 with a 5.59 ERA at Triple-A Sacramento and Pawtucket.

A first-round draft selection of San Francisco in 2000, Bonser is 19-25 with a 5.18 in four major league seasons, including three with Minnesota.
