Man Rescued After Falling Through Ice Into Pond

SHIRLEY, N.Y. (WCBS 880) – A man was taken to the hospital after falling into an icy pond, WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall reports.

Police said the man decided to walk on an icy pond at the Links Golf Course in Shirley, but it was not a good idea.

The ice broke and the man and his two dogs fell into the chilly water.

All three were rescued and taken to the hospital.

Police said he and his dogs did not suffer life threatening injuries.
