Watch The Gap: Union Square Subway Station Has Most Falls
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Better mind the gap at the Union Square subway station.
Statistics show the subway station leads the system in number of falls from the platform: a total of 14 riders fell between 2008 and 2009.
It's the same station where a 41-year-old man fell Friday night as he was pinned by a train. He's recovering and is said to be in critical condition.
The Daily News cites a combination of platform extenders and high ridership as contributing to the number of incidents.
