Community Mourns For Victim Of Deadly Carjacking Accident

EAST ORANGE, N.J. (CBS 2) — A New Jersey community is mourning the loss of a beloved church member killed in a deadly carjacking.

Police say Jamal Silvera carjacked a vehicle from a municipal garage in West Orange.

Investigators say he then led officers on a pursuit through East Orange on Friday, striking James Callaway and plowing into another vehicle.

Callaway, a member of St. Mark’s AME Church, was leaving the church and was about to get in his car when he was hit.

Members of the church and friends of Callaway are at a loss.

“It’s senseless. It’s not worth losing a life or anyone else’s in the process of a crime,” Darrel Hall said.

The suspect ran off but was later caught by police. He’s being held on $1 million bail.

How terribly..especially during the Holiday Season.
I just came across a comment by one of Jamal Silveras’ buddies who claimed he is innocent until proven guilty. What a disgrace, what a slap in the face.
It just goes to show how these animals are being raised.
Grab his butt by those nasty, smelly dreads and force him to stand over coffin of this innocent MAN and perhaps he and his buddies can see just how stupid and useless they really are.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Calloways’ family.
