Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said an armed robber who targeted Sabine's Hallway Salon shot at the wrong lady.

"She fired back, struck him in the hand and also struck the lock on the front door," Kelly said, referring to Feris Jones.

Now, City Council members like District 23's Letitia James are recognizing the shy Barbados native who was promoted to detective three days after the incident.

"Don't mess with a woman while she's getting her hair made up. That's the most dangerous position to be in," James said.
