TRENTON, N.J. (CBS 2 / WCBS 880) — New Jersey’s highest court was threatening to block six major lenders, suspected of irregularities, from foreclosing on most homeowners.
WCBS 880′s Ginny Kosola reports
Those lenders, which include Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase and Citibank, will have to appear in court next month and defend their foreclosure practices.
The chief justice of New Jersey’s Supreme Court said the court has become increasingly concerned about the accuracy and reliability of documents submitted to the office of foreclosure.
