NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Looking ever so jolly, New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan played Santa Claus sitting in a corner handing out gifts wrapped in red paper to needy kids at St. Cecilia’s on 106th Street.

WCBS 880’s Rich Lamb reports

Unlike Bethlehem, where there was no room in the inn, Dolan says, “Well, the church tries to make room for everybody and… today, we’re making room for kids and their moms and some of our elders who come here for just friendship and warmth and a good meal and some fraternity and prayer.”

Of the celebration, says the Archbishop, it’s hospitality, it’s Christmas time.
