NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A livery cab driver in Brooklyn was recovering from a gunshot wound Saturday after reportedly intervening in an argument between two passengers.

One of the passengers happened to be armed.

Sheikh Hoque, 29, was facing assault, and grand larceny charges among others. Police said he drove off in the cab but didn’t get far.

The 39-year-old driver was able to stumble to his company headquarters a block away to get help.
