Maple Leafs Spent 4 Hours On Bus After Devils Game

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs found themselves stuck on a bus amid the snowstorm that shut down much travel in the Northeast.

Vice president of hockey operations Dave Poulin says the team sat on the bus for four hours from Sunday night until Monday morning when authorities shut down a stretch of New Jersey Route 24.

The team was trying to get from the Prudential Center in Newark to a hotel in Short Hills. The bus was stuck from about 11 p.m. until around 3 a.m. Monday.

The Leafs had just defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-1.

Poulin said the next concern was when the team plane will be able to get out of Newark Liberty Airport, which has scratched all flights until 4 p.m.
