TRENTON, NJ (WCBS 880) – Whether it’s help for homeowners to buy insulation or for quality windows, State Senator Ronald Rice says New Jersey’s weatherization program could have helped a lot more residents stay warmer during this past snowstorm.

So, he says they have to find a way to help more folks get this assistance.

“We have to because it’s all a part of… green energy cost reduction in terms of home ownership, in terms of apartments,” Rice told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney.

Rice and the State Legislative Black Caucus are calling for a push to get more federal funding to help weatherization.
