Early Morning Shooting Death Mars New Year In NYC
NEW YORK (AP) -- The new year got off to a violent start when a Queens man was shot and killed.
Police responded to 127th Street and 94th Avenue in Queens around 5:30 a.m. Saturday after shots were fired.
They found 29-year-old Dwayne Haughton lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his neck and chest. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no arrests have been made, and an investigation is under way.
