Hospital Worker Charged With Sex Assault Of Patient

NEW YORK (AP) — An X-ray technician has been charged with molesting a patient at a New York City hospital.

Sylvester Chase was arraigned Monday on a sexual abuse charge. His lawyer calls the allegations baseless.

A court complaint says the woman reported she’d been abused while asleep during an X-ray Sunday at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Chase was charged under a state law against sexual contact with someone who’s “physically helpless.”

Defense lawyer John Russo said the X-ray was administered in a busy radiology area. He questioned the reliability of the woman’s account of events that allegedly transpired while she slept.

Manhattan prosecutors declined to comment on their evidence in the case.

The 41-year-old Chase has been suspended from his job.

Sylvester Chase – any relation to comedy genius Chevy Chase?

Now that would be news. Chevy hasn’t had a hit movie since “Nothing But Trouble”.

where are the witnesses. may be the technician was examining her and the patient thought that Chase was molesting her. The story was very very blurred like a flood water. On the other hand, the patient should be happy, at least somebody noticed her. He he he

Innocent until proven guilty. If he did, shame on him. But innocent until proven otherwise. What does this whole black thing have to do with anything? I was in the hospital and everyone who works in the medical field are angels. It takes a special type of person to be able to do that job. Either way, he is innocent until they can prove that he did anything wrong.

that is why a female hospital aid should be around when a male technician has contatct with femaile patients .It will be good for the patients and will be good for the workers no one would be able to make false alligations.

I bet he was one of the people who serves up the food, no doubt in my mind that this is the case. , I would put money on that assumption, this is why BACKGROUND CHECKS are extremely important, granted not every person has a record, but MOST do!-once an offender always an offender, especially when it come to sexual crimes.

    1. Brendon says:

Wha? The article stated he is an x-ray tech. They don’t serve food.

    2. wow says:
