Police: L.I. Man Arrested After Wrong-Way Driving

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A West Babylon man was arrested Thursday night for driving while intoxicated after driving the wrong way on Route 109, Suffolk County Police said.

Police said Roger Cabural, 37, was driving a 2000 Plymouth southbound on Straight Path in West Babylon around 10:40 a.m., when he turned left, going eastbound on the westbound lanes of Route 109.

First Precinct cops said they pulled over Cabural and placed him under arrest after noticing signs of intoxication.

The West Babylon resident was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
