NEW YORK (CBS 2) — From Broadway to fun history lessons to kids’ imaginations going wild, Time Out New York Kids has some great suggestions for your family this weekend.

1. Broadway Playhouse: Rogers & Hammerstein

Composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein created a string of popular Broadway musicals in the ‘40s and ‘50s during what is considered the golden age of the medium. Their shows (and their film versions) garnered 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, two Grammys and a Pulitzer Prize.
