B&C Show Blog & Audio: Game Time

Bobby Dwyer

Craig was all kinds of pumped up about the Jets and their upcoming tussle with the Patriots in Foxboro Sunday afternoon.  Boomer too was all sorts of excited, but his joy stemmed from a 1-0 win by the Rangers over the Vancouver Canucks at the Garden last night and in order to get some air time to talk about the sport that few really care about, he made a pretty flimsy comparison between the Blue Shirts and the Jets and then they moved on to the real business at hand.  You know it's a big weekend for NY sports when the folks over at CBS2 send Kathryn Brown over to the WFAN studios and invite the guys to join their morning news program, which is what they did this morning, so you do the math.  But I know you don't need to be told what a big game this is for Gang Green and the guys certainly gave the game the attention it deserved all morning long…

Jerry played a montage of responses Wes Welker had yesterday during his press-conference where he made 11 references to feet, subtly making light of Rex Ryan's apparent fetish.  Jerry's update was a cut a little short when CBS2 wanted to talk to the guys once again about the Jets and when co-anchor Rob Morrison brought up Mike Lupica, things got a little uncomfortable…

The Jets called an early 7am practice this morning to further prepare for the Pats, but that didn't stop Jets safety/special teamer James Ihedigbo from calling the guys to talk about Sunday's game.  Ihedigbo pulled no punches when talking about the comments made by his teammate Antonio Cromartie about Tom Brady, reiterating that the Jets don't like Brady the QB and how he handles himself on the field.  Sunday should be a classic…

Joe Klecko falls under the category of legendary Jets players, he also falls under the category of Hall of Fame snubs – but that is a story for another day.  Today he represented the Green and White proudly when he joined B&C in-studio to talk about the game.  He also took part in Al 'Hughes' Dukes latest Jets parody song, providing some back-up vocals and even busting out a solo.  Klecko is confident the Jets can get it done in Foxboro, picking his old team to win a close one 21-17…

Fireman Ed joined the guys on Wednesday on the phone to talk about his J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets and while they were chatting, Craig extended an invitation to him to join the guys today in-studio to be part of the 'official-unofficial' Jets pre-game show and lead his famous chant atop of Craig's broad shoulders.  When the time came though, Craig asked Boomer to hoist up Ed, because frankly I think Craigie was a little scared, which is certainly understandable, as Ed is a big man…
