NEW YORK (CBS 2) – The MTA was alerting bus riders about possible service cuts.
An MTA committee approved a plan that will reduce the number of buses on 40 routes in all five boroughs.
The agency said it will save $300,000 a year with the cost-cutting plan.
The full MTA Board was scheduled to vote on the proposal on Wednesday.
If approved, the service cuts will go into effect in April.
