Heyman: Yankees' Offer To Pettitte 'Will Be' $12M

NEW YORK (WFAN) - According to Jon Heyman of WFAN and SI.com, the Yankees' offer to Andy Pettitte "is or will be" worth $12 million over one year.

That would be a $250,000 raise from the $11.75 million that he earned in 2010 while posting an 11-3 record, 3.28 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 21 starts.

Reports have had Pettitte leaning toward retirement, and Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has said publicly that he isn't counting on the lefthander being a part of the team's rotation in 2011.

The Yankees signed Bartolo Colon on Wednesday to a minor league deal.

Will that be enough to lure Pettitte back? Comment below!
