NYPD Seeks Suspect In Violent Brooklyn Sex Assault

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York City Police Department is looking for a suspect wanted for a violent sexual assault in Brooklyn.

At about 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, a 26-year-old woman was walking near Glenwood Road and East 40th Street when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect choked the victim until she was unconscious before sexually assaulting her.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect. The man has been described as a black man between the ages of 40 and 50, approximately 6'2" to 6'4" and weighing between 210 and 250 pounds.

The victim was brought to an area hospital, where she was treated and released.
