23-Year-Old Man Shot In Head In Newark Dies

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a 23-year-old man was shot dead in Newark and a second man was wounded.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino says Milton Saar of Newark was shot in the head Saturday night in the city’s Ironbound section and died. A second man was wounded, but the extent of his injuries wasn’t immediately available.

The Star-Ledger of Newark reports that Saar is Newark’s ninth homicide this year.

Historically, Newark is one of New Jersey’s deadliest cities. The city had 85 homicides last year and 80 in 2009.

puerto ricio is uncivilized though. its to be expected. also, its population is roughly 15 times larger than that of newark. 15×9=135. so newark actually has a higher homicide rate then PR….then again, newark is pretty much uncivilized too.
