AccuWeather Meteorologist Carl Babinski expects the snow to arrive after midnight on Tuesday. The off-and-on snowfall will continue Tuesday morning and leave up to 2 inches of accumulation.
By Tuesday night, however, the precipitation is expected to change over to rain and a wintry mix for parts of the area.
On Wednesday morning, sleet and freezing rain threatens to leave area roads icy for the morning commute. The storm could end with a brief period of snow on Wednesday night.
