Nets Sign Free Agent Guard Orien Greene

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The Nets have signed free agent guard Orien Greene to a contract.

GM Billy King announced the 10-day contract for Greene on Tuesday. He'll fill in for Jordan Farmar, who has been sidelined for three games with a strained back.

Greene averaged 18.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 24 games with the Utah Flash of the NBA Development League this season.

In 2005, he was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the second round out of Louisiana-Lafayette.
