Cano Hires Boras As New Agent

New York, NY (WFAN) - The Yankees second baseman, Robinson Cano, will have a new agent when he negotiates for a new contract come the 2014 season.

The NY Post is reporting that Cano has replaced his previous agent, Bobby Barad with super agent Scott Boras.

Boras was the agent for Alex Rodriguez when he signed his current 10 year / $275 million with the Yankees back in 2007. Rodriguez decided to part ways with Boras last season.

Boras currently represents first baseman Mark Teixeira and new reliever Rafael Soriano.

Cano is in the second year of a four-year contract with the Yankees. He will earn $10 million this year, with team options for 2012 ($14 million) and 2013 ($15 million).
