NYC Man Loses Toes To Subway Train

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — An 84-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who somehow ended up on the subway tracks lost some of his toes after a subway train came along the route.

Police said Anatoliy Zilberman also suffered severe bruising from the incident on Sunday afternoon. He somehow made it to the express tracks north of Union Square when the No. 4 train passed by.

Police don’t know how Zilberman, who lives in an assisted-living facility, got to where he was.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

    Sad. Hope he has family.

  • Beyond Ridiculous

Seems he was living in an unassisted-living facility. Hopefully his family will raise a big stink over this complete and utter failure.

That poor man! I hope he recovers as best he can and that he’s not too traumatized!

This is a very unusual story.

    I suspect paranormal involvement.

Hope Mr. Zilberman is okay. That had to be painful. Lucky to be alive, though.
