"I got the New Yorker for forty percent off!" said one shopper.
WCBS 880's Ginny Kosola spoke with shoppers who say they're in the 57th St. Borders every week or during a lunch hour from work to check out what's new or pick up a magazine.
One mom told Kosola she likes to bring her 5-year-old daughter to Borders to introduce her to reading.
"She hops from books to books and says 'See Mom, this is the book I want!'," said one shopper.
An experience this mom says doesn't exist online.
