NEW YORK (1010 WINS/AP) – It was a wild night at Union Square after two separate accidents sent two individuals to the hospital.

Around 3:30 on Sunday morning, a man was found badly hurt in front of 15 Union Square East. Witnesses told police that a dark-colored sedan hit the man before fleeing north on Park Avenue.

Officials rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile on the other side of Union Square, a taxi driver and 31-year-old Michael Findley, of Pasadena, California, got into a dispute. Police said Findley got out of the taxi cab, pulled the driver from the cab, stole the cab before crashing nearby into a traffic light.

Findley was treated for minor injuries at Bellevue Hospital and then arrested on charges including robbery, reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated. No one else was injured.
