B&C Show Blog & Audio: So Long, Goodbye, Farewell Perez

Bobby Dwyer

After a disappointing loss to the Magic in Orlando, the Knicks rebounded nicely (literally, they finished the game with a 41-33 advantage on the boards) last night at the Garden by beating down the New Orleans Hornets 107-88.  Boomer & Craig were on hand to see the action up-close and personal and liked what they saw.  But last night's Knicks win took a back seat to some news out of Mets camp, as much maligned left-hander Oliver Perez will take the mound today down in Port St. Lucie and according to Craig, will be pitching for his Mets career and for that Craigie would like to 'celebrate', calling it one of the best things to happen to Mets fans in years.  He is of course is counting on an Ollie P implosion which is more than likely if you go by his track record.  As always, Boomer was along for the bumpy ride…

Jerry's first update of the day began with the Knicks and their drubbing on the New Orleans Hornets last night in the Garden.  Then the conversation shifted to the college hardwood as we learned that Brigham Young University dismissed sophomore Brandon Davies for violating the schools honor code.  Speculation is that the violation involved Davies having sex with his girlfriend, which is a no-no at BYU.  Then we heard from the cerebral knuckleballer RA Dickey and a Mets fan who is excited about watching the Mets on TV…

Jim Kelly (pictured above sharing an embrace with former teammate Thurman Thomas) is a personal friend of Boomer's and certainly a friend of the Show, having joined the Program on numerous occasions.  During his last visit Craig promised to not only play in his golf outing, but he also agreed to broadcast a Show from Buffalo the day of the event.  Well this was news to everyone but not to worry, Craigie has put Al 'Hughes' Dukes in-charge of the road trip…

Abercrombie & Fitch Accused Of Discrimination

Craig found himself in a bit of a quandary yesterday following the Show.  You see he was planning on heading to last night's Knicks-Hornets game at the Garden, but realized he was not dressed properly so he decided to do a little clothes shopping and found himself in an 'Abercrombie & Fitch', 'an American retailer that focuses on casual wear for consumers ages 18-22'.  I guess you could say, at 41 years old, Craigie was a little overwhelmed by the whole scene, which included loud music and numerous scantily clad employees…

Then it was time for a little game we like to call, 'What the Hell was that???'  Today Jerry provided an interesting sound and then challenged the guys try and figure out where the sound originated from.  From there we heard a priceless cut of Suzyn Waldman, during a recent interview she conducted with Yanks reliever Joba Chamberlain, where she was quite taken by Joba's physique.  That set Craig off and his inner-Suzyn was released in a big way…

For today's highly anticipated Moment of the Day Jerry had an easy choice.  To me, this bit never gets old, I suspect Miss Waldman may have a different take, but nonetheless she was the star today…
