Stalking Suspect Arrested On Long Island
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - A Long Island man has been charged with stalking a woman for three years.
Police say this nightmare began when Joseph Matthews, 37, saw the woman working in 2008 and since then would not stop stalking her.
"Years ago there was a chance meeting at the victim's place of employment and I guess he became fixated on her and became relentless as far as making contact with this woman," said Suffolk County Police Sgt. Gene Kociuk.

Matthews was able to elude the authorities until the victim agreed to meet him at a Starbucks in Medford, Long Island.
When Matthews arrived he was arrested.
