Let me start by saying I think this type of violence is AWFUL. There is no reason this type of thing should happen. But how does the REASON supposedly behind it make it worse? If he was a female beaten like this by a disgruntled ex-boyfriend (something which happens daily,) would the victimization considered to be less…something not headline worthy across the nation? The answer, sadly, is yes.

All “hate crimes” have done is create a special class of people…something which minorities claim they don’t want. If the full force of the laws against violating another person were used, then there should be no reason for making a thought illegal.

I’m glad you live in Canada too, but I have to wonder how the parents of the 13 month old baby Canada was going to kill feel about the Canadian healthcare system!!!
