Giuliani Speech Fuels Speculation Of 2012 Presidential Run

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, whose drive-by approach to campaigning in New Hampshire drove his 2008 presidential campaign into the ground, may be setting the stage for a do-over.

Giuliani, who says he hasn’t decided whether he will run again, sounded a lot like a candidate when he spoke at a GOP fundraiser in Manchester on Friday night.

He came down hard on President Barack Obama, mocking him as a stuttering weakling when it comes to Libya. He declared that Obama has displayed the worst presidential decision making on foreign policy he’s ever seen.

As for his own decision-making, Giuliani said he should have spent more time in New Hampshire during his failed 2008 campaign.

SOUND-OFF: Do you think Giuliani will attempt another White House run in 2012?  Could he win if he runs?  Let us know in the comments section…

  2. Scott on the UWS says:

Yeah we need a tough guy like Rudy, who after the ’93 World Trade Center bombing really showed the terrorists when he put the city’s new emergency command post IN the World Trade Center

  3. jim says:

  4. Rudy THIS says:

  5. LOL over this says:

Is prom night that close? Making promises they don’t intend to keep, Then once in office. Its raise the income tax and more loop holes for big business. History repeating itself over and over again. My, how quickly time flies.

  6. Rudy THIS says:

If Rudy ever became president, he would then turn his back and let controlled demolition wire up the whole country with explosives like he did with the twin towers. He will then claim that he was in office during such a terrible time, and try further to capitalize on the destruction, much more devastating than 911 . Only an ignorant fool would vote for Rudy after his last performance

  7. sal says:

I dont think he should run, lets not forget about police commish Kerik, right under his nis nose kerik had mafia ties, and was doing all kinds of illegal things, the mayor coulnt control hom how can he run the country..i woulnt vote for him,and thousands of cops and their families hate him

  8. Lando says:

  9. VF says:

Rudy would be another Hussain Mubarack or Moamar Ghadaffi, he will want to stay as a Dictator forever.
Certain local ggod qualities but not good National qualities!
    Especially no morals.

  10. nathan says:

How many times did he say 9-11 in the speech? Oh and how much did he lose by last time? The GOP “hopefuls” are a pathetic joke. Obama is a LOCK for 2012 by 5 points at least.

    What a tool.

    1. WOODSIDE MIKEYMM says:

RUDY IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL A$$HOLE…. I KNOW!!! HE IS THE PRIMO TOOL AND D BAG!!!

  12. Vienna Joe says:

Rudy proved his lack of leadership ability by the choices he made as agency heads. Bernie Kerik and Tom VonEssen to lead the two most vital city agencies. Kerik is finally where he belongs, but not before Rudy recommended that President Bush appoint him as head of the Department of Homeland Security … how appropriate for a felon to lead that agency. By the way Rudy, I’m not a big Obama fan … I actually have little regard for politicians as a whole, but if you are going to take a whack at Obama by saying he stuttered, remember … he may go after you for your uncontrollable back of the throat lisp … Sufferin’ Succotash !!!

  14. Alan says:

Rudy should definitely run and this time follow-through. He has the qualities the country desperately needs- leadership, moral clarity, clear vision, common sense and mental toughness. He believes in American values and will defend them and us. My advice to him is to be yourself and bring clarity and common sense to issues as you always did in NY. And this time, follow-through and don’t let up until you win the nomination.

    1. joef says:

Well-said, Alan. Rudy’s who we need as President. Forged in fire, smart, courageous patriot. Best of the lot!

  15. Rodney Wilkinson says:

Anyone would be better than Obama
