Police Find Bloody Body In Bronx Kitchen Closet

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are still conducting a homicide investigation after discovering the bloody body of a 400-pound man inside a kitchen closet in the Bronx on Saturday.

Police found the body inside a large maroon laundry bag in a kitchen closet inside the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Apartments at 1815 Bruckner Blvd. in the Soundview section of the Bronx at 2:57 p.m., according to the police report.

The neighbor, who knew the man for 30 years, said she was shocked at the gruesome find.

“[It’s] Terrifying, frightening. He was such a polite gentlemen. Always talked about health. Never saw him with bad company. Never saw him with anything,” she said.

Police were still around the apartment on Sunday as the investigation continued.

The Medical Examiner will be determining the cause of death.

    to me, it signals either the press was too eager to print something on this, or the police have more detailed info and are hoping to flush out the perp by releasing this marginal info.

    If you are not going to tell us ANYTHING, why tell us this? No family,friends, was he shot WHAT? Just asking.
