Police said it appears Andrew Statham, of Suffern, lost control of the 2005 Mustang on the winding suburban road and struck two poles before flipping over on Viola Road around 1:15 a.m.

The vehicle's windshield was shattered in the collision.

Statham was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said Troy Saucier and Javier Human, both 20-years-old, suffered minor injuries.

Police said speeding contributed to the crash. No word on whether the wintry weather also played a role.
