PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) — Chris Young pitched five innings and the New York Mets beat the Florida Marlins 6-3 Wednesday in the final game of spring training for both teams.
The clubs meet Friday night in Florida on opening day.
Young, set to be the Mets’ fourth starter, gave up two earned runs on three hits and four walks. He struck out four.
David Wright had an RBI single for the Mets. Chris Coghlan had an RBI double for the Marlins.

What’s the outfield situation ? did Lucas Duda make the team?Did they trade Nick Evans,I hope? What did Izzy decide?-just take his chances with the Phillies?Did they send Luis Hernandez to AAA,I hope?Are they trying to trade for a backup catcher,realizing that Paulino is done and that they were stupid to sign “damaged goods” in the first place?Maybe they can get Rod Barahass back from, L.A..- catman
