B&C Morning Show: Reggie Jackson with Boomer & Carton

The guys were thrilled to invite Reggie Jackson into the Allstate Studio this morning, partly because he came bearing gifts in the form of soup from the "The Original Soup Man."

Early on Craig referred to Reggie as an "old friend," which struck a chord with Jackson, who is pushing 65, and he informed Craig that he prefers to be known as a "long-time friend," because apparently he is a little sensitive about his age.  Though that didn't stop Craig from later asking Reggie if he is afraid of dying, which seemed to have caught "Mr. October" off guard.

Jackson talked about the relationship between Derek Jeter and the Yankees, which became a somewhat fractured during the off season. He also talked openly about his relationship with the late George Steinbrenner, both during his playing days and leading up to his death.

Reggie mentioned reading scripture with the likes of Mariano Rivera and Alex Rodriguez.  We also learned that he thinks Cameron Diaz is very good for A-Rod.

As the guys were finishing up with Reggie, Craig suggested that he pony up some dough and buy the Mets. Reggie's response might just surprise Mets and Yankee fans alike...

A little while later the guys were talking about Al "Hughes" Dukes, who has his evaluation following today's Show.  The conversation was cut short though when Reggie Jackson called in because he didn't like how Craig was talking about him and he promised a headlock for Craigie the next time the two meet...
