Long Island Congressman Peter King's Office Receives Severed Pig's Foot

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Capitol Police are looking into a package with a severed pig's foot in it sent to Long Island Congressman Peter King's office in Washington.

King is the chair of the House Homeland Security committee, and was recently criticized for holding hearings on Islamic radicalization in the U.S.

The package was intercepted by mail screeners before it got to King's office.

Along with the severed foot was a note containing anti-Semitic slurs. King is Catholic.
