NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – If you’re a Tom Hanks fan, you probably know he’s no stranger to New York City when it comes to movie locations.

And he’s back. According to On Location Vacations, a Web site devoted to celebrity sightings, Tom Hanks will join co-stars Sandra Bullock and John Goodman as they film Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close in Brooklyn (Avenue M & 14th Street) Tuesday.

Directed by Stephen Daldry, the movie apparently follows a young boy as he searches the Big Apple for a lock that matches a key left by his father who was killed in the September 11th attacks.

Last week, Ashton Kutcher and a slew of other stars were on hand in Times Square as they filmed the upcoming New Year’s Eve, a sequel to 2010’s Valentine’s Day.
