As the signature fund raising event for the American Heart Association, the 30th annual Start! Wall Street Run & Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in New York City. The Start! Wall Street Run & Heart Walk to be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 6:45 PM on the famed streets of New York City’s financial district includes teams of employees from businesses across New York City as well as individuals from the community; more than 10,000 people participate each year. CBS 2 News anchor Kristine Johnson will host the kickoff program.  The event is a three mile run/walk; the 3M run is a qualifier for the ING New York City Marathon in partnership with New York Road Runners.

Proceeds from the event help support American Heart Association community programs, cardiovascular education, research and advocacy. Events like the Start!
