Ed Kranepool played his entire 17-year career with the New York Mets and to this day still wears his 1969 World Series ring.

He joined Boomer & Craig in the Allstate studio this morning to talk a little baseball, specifically the Mets.

The guys asked him his thoughts of the 2011 version of the Mets. Kranepool was very candid when talking about Mike Pelfrey, saying that he would be a tough guy to play behind.

Kranepool also talked about how much the game has changed since he last played back in 1979, for better and for worse. He also touched on all of the legends he has crossed paths with throughout his life in baseball.

Even at the age of 66, Kranepool’s 6′ 3″ frame still casts an imposing impression. Craigie was on his best behavior and even admitted that Mr. Kranepool could probably kick his you-know-what…
