Capitals Coach Boudreau On MSG: It’s Not That Loud

WASHINGTON – Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau hurled some insults at The World’s Most Famous Arena when asked to talk about Madison Square Garden during a Monday morning appearance on 105.9 The Edge’s Kirk and Mike Show.

Listen: Bruce Boudreau badmouths The Garden

“Well, the one thing, its reputation is far better than the actual building,” the coach said. “I mean, it’s nothing. The locker rooms are horrible. The benches are horrible. There’s no room for anything. But the reputation of being in Madison Square Garden is what makes it famous. Also, our building’s a lot louder, too. So I mean, they can say what they want, but it’s not that loud in there.”

The interview came one day after the #8 seed New York Rangers beat the Capitals 3-2 in New York to cut the lead in the series to 2-1.

Game 3 of the series is Wednesday at MSG, how will Rangers fans respond?

He is 100% correct. The place is a dump. It makes the coliseum look like the Taj Mahal. The only thing itis good for is Godzilla’s egg nest. Put a fork in them, the Rags are done with no cup again.

  4. Eric Soley says:
