B&C Morning Show: Rangers’ Loss A Punch In The Gut

Awful, disgusting, pathetic, disappointing, a punch in the gut – there aren’t enough adjectives to describe last night’s Rangers loss.

In a crucial Game 3, the Rangers found themselves up 3-0 to start the 3rd Period on their home ice. Then a mistake by Michael Sauer helped make it 3-1 and the collapse began.

Soon the Rangers found themselves tied 3-3 and going to OT. Henrik Lundqvist made a terrific save on Alex Ovechkin in the 1st OT to keep the Rangers in the game, but in the 2nd Jason Chimera was able to tally the game winner for Washington. The 4-3 final score meant the collapse was complete, and the Rangers went down 3-1 in the series.

As to be expected, No. 1 Rangers fan Boomer Esiason was as depressed as ever today. So to open the show Craig gave Boomer the floor to break down the game and air his grievances. Yet, despite his mental state, Boomer did try to put some positive spin on this Rangers team. But don’t worry, Craig called him out on it.

Did anyone mention the Ref broke up a 2 on 0 in the beginning of OT?

Get over it. The Rangers don’t even belong in the playoffs. I am glad they lost. It turns my stomach to hear people idolize a team that is nasty and not to mention Sean Avery. I will never understand why this country still idiolizes athletes and celebrities that degrade women, hurt animals, among some of the things they get away with. Regular people would be in so much trouble but not them. What a terrible message it sends to the youth.
