WCBS 880′s Sophia Hall: The Cilantro Never Made It To Store Shelves
The cilantro was distributed to six food service customers on Long Island and in New York City.
A spokesperson for the company told WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall that 138 pounds is a very small amount and that the cilantro was never put on store shelves.
Further tests on two other lots at Satur Farms turned up negative for salmonella.
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
