Man Arrested For Assaulting 70-Year-Old Parking Enforcer

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police have arrested a Long Island man for assaulting a 70-year-old parking enforcer on Saturday.

Police said 43-year-old Fabian Lenis got angry after getting a parking ticket from the enforcer in Great Neck Plaza on Saturday at 1:55 p.m. Lenis pushed the man, causing him to fall backwards and strike his head on the curb.

Officials took the victim to a local hospital where he was treated and released for injuries to his head, left hand, left knee and lower band.

Police charged Lenis with assault and criminal mischief both in the second degree. Lenis is being arraigned on Sunday in Hempstead.

During the assault the victim's electronic ticket writer was also damaged.
