Tri-State Dunkin Donuts Celebrating Royal Wedding With Special Edition Donut
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's not exactly fare fit for a prince – but it does look delicious.
Dunkin Donuts in the Tri-State area are celebrating the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton with a special edition donut.
The heart-shaped pastry, filled with jelly and topped with vanilla icing and a chocolate drizzle, "signifies the love between Prince William and Catherine, and the donut is filled with jelly to represent how their lives are to be ever-filled with happiness," according to the company.
The Dunkin' Donuts Royal Wedding Donut will be available in the Tri-State area beginning Monday, April 25 through the wedding day, April 29.
Many Dunkin Donuts locations are planning to open early – before the ceremony begins at 6 a.m. eastern time – so those planning early-morning festivities in honor of the royal couple can get the goods in time to celebrate.
