Craig declared today to be a  “Boomer & Carton Day.”  The dynamic radio duo will be spending the entire day together, which will conclude with a very special dinner.  But before they could break bread, the guys had to get things started by doing a four-hour radio show, something we’ve come to know as the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza.

On yesterday’s show, the guys focused on the conclusion of both the Knicks’ and Rangers’ seasons –  today, early on, their focus on what’s next for the Knickerbockers.  Boomer & Craig discussed the futures of Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni.  Walsh’s current contract is set to expire, while D’Antoni’s deal runs through next year.

What to do, what to do… Boomer & Craig agreed that if he wants to return, Walsh should be granted an extension.  As far as D’Antoni, Craig was indifferent. But he agreed with Boomer that if he is to return, the Knicks have to give D’Antoni at least another year — because he can’t return to the bench as a lame-duck coach…
