Justin Tuck: Jets' Rex Ryan 'Proud Of Coming Up Short'

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- We've come to expect trash talk from Jets head coach Rex Ryan. But Justin Tuck wasn't exactly thrilled when Ryan called out the Giants for being second to Gang Green.

"I'm gonna say this and this is gonna be the last time I comment on anything Rex Ryan says," Tuck told the New York Post. "The last time I checked, I have a Super Bowl ring and he doesn't, so if he's proud of coming up short, I guess he should be proud of that."

Ryan, though, does have a Super Bowl ring -- just not with the Jets. In fact, it's from the Baltimore Ravens' beatdown of the Giants in Super Bowl XXXV. He was Baltimore's defensive line coach.

"Some people like to say the Giants are the big brother team and the Jets are the little brother team," Ryan said in his new book, "Play Like You Mean It."

"I have news for you: We are the better team. We are the big brother."

Ryan also said, for the next 10 years, the Jets are going to be better than the Giants.

"When people ask me what it's like to share New York with the Giants, my response is always I am not sharing it with them – they are sharing it with me. … It seems clear that right now we are the better team and we are going to remain the better team for the next 10 years. Whether you like it or not, those are the facts and that's what is going to happen."

The two teams face off on Christmas Eve, December 24.
