"I'm here to remember my daughter Shannan and to get the word out to help to find her and bring her home because we miss her and we love her and want her back," Mary Gilbert said.

The search for evidence in a suspected serial killer case is set to resume there on Long Island on Monday. Investigators plan to search both sides of Wantagh State Parkway for the first time.

The case has become one of the largest investigations in Suffolk County after as many as 10 sets of human remains have been found in the Oak Beach and Gilgo Beach areas.

Meanwhile, Mary Gilbert said she holds out hope her daughter is still alive and holds out hope those responsible for the killings that have occurred will be found.
