The news came in late last night during the Mets-Phillies game that after nearly 10 years on the run, Osama bin Laden, the terrorist mastermind responsible for the 9/11 attacks, was killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan.

Suddenly, as fans at Citizens Bank Ballpark chanted “USA,” people in New York and Washington D.C. took to the streets and sports became the back story to this enormously important event in our nation’s history.

This morning, Boomer and Craig opened the show paying tribute to those lost in the attacks and our brave men and women who worked tirelessly to bring bin Laden to justice. They then opened the show to callers from all over New York to discuss bin Laden’s demise and to commemorate this incredible day for the people of New York and the nation.
