Alleged Killer Of Andre Pitts, Whose Shooting Was Caught On Tape, Arrested In Albany

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The cold, calculated shooting was caught on tape.

18-year-old Andre Pitts was riding in the elevator of 230 Lott Avenue in Brownsville April 17th. A man wearing a black jacket with red, white and green stripes is seen in the elevator with him.

When Pitts stepped out of the elevator on the fourth floor, the other man followed him, produced a gun, and fired several times.

Surveillance video captured an image of the suspect as he calmly walked away from the scene.

Now police say the man in the photograph above has been arrested in Albany.

Detectives arrested 20-year-old Djavan Perry at the home of a relative.

He faces first-degree murder charges, as well as criminal possession of a weapon.

So far, no word on why Perry allegedly gunned Pitts down.
